The Hall is a large room with a large elaborate fireplace that is always light with a warm fire. Cushioned chairs meant for four bodies and some for one are scattered around all facing the fireplace. There are books shelved on half the walls, though this is not a library it has a great number of books. Because of these old manuscripts the Hall smells like old paper, a smell most elves that enjoy their history love. These books are why this place is called The Hall of Tales for there is a secret to these particular books. The history in these books are written as they come to past…

Neisa entered the Hall, and suddenly she felt a sort of calm and peace wash over her.
She had always loved coming to these places. There was something sacred about the written word... written words that could be turned into reclaiming epics...
Reclaiming was something that Neisa loved to do. She enjoyed coming here to learn, and also to memorize tales for later...

Erugenel feeling an urge to find a quiet place came into the Hall but found it occupied. Lady Neisa had already noticed her however so quietly making a get away would be rude.
"I am sorry, I did not realize any one would be in here." She said.

"Oh," Neisa said, surprised and dropping the book she had been leafing through. "It is alright. I rather enjoy company."
Neisa bent down and picked up the manuscript and returned it to the safety of the shelves. "How are you today, Lady Erugenel?"

Erugenel smiled and shrugged. "I will survive the day." She said deciding to walk towards her. She hated being across the room when she was conversing with another. "How about you? Enjoying your stay in Mirkwood?"

Neisa smiled at Erugenel serenely.
"I confess I do enjoy Mirkwood, all though I haven't seen the whole kingdom, nor met all the people yet. I asked an elf where the library was... this was one of the places I've been dying to see. Something about a library is so calming, isnt it?"
Erugenel raised and eyebrow. Neisa laughed. "I'm sorry, I really am a book worm. Were you hiding from someone? You came in so... urgently," Neisa said, feeling like it really wasnt the correct word to use... but there was no other way to discribe it.

Erugenel flushed slightly. She was avoiding some one. But no one but Aeglos knew whom she would want to avoid. Ever since she had arrived she had been avoiding him.
“Maybe. But it does not matter who.” She told her. Neisa smiled small and prettily making Erugenel nervous.
“Maybe matters too much?” She questioned quietly. Erugenel raised her brow in approval.
“My Lady you just might be the one who can find my most guarded secret out.”

"Why, Lady Erugenel, I do believe I feel honored." She said, walking to the seats in the middle of the room. "Come join me,"
They sat next to each other.
"Now tell me... is it an old flame that you are avoiding? I heard that Mirkwood's male elves are exceedingly handsome.
"Especially his royal highness, Prince Legolas." Neisa continued gently, and smiling confidently. "It wouldn't by any chance be the prince who you would be pining for, would it?"

Erugenel’s face went stark white. “Of course not. I may have known the Prince for a long time, but he never saw me when I was here. He probably has not even noticed that I have come back.” She paused. “Very few recognized me when I arrived, why should he?” She asked trying to recover. Indeed this Lady Neisa was skilled. Now all she needed to do was write a book on how to make people nervous in thirty seconds. And to go with it, the art of interrogating. If it were on some one else she admitted to herself, she would find it funny, but when the situation meant her she felt horribly awkward. Why had she not bothered to learn such a technique?

"Ah, a childhood love from afar was it?" Neisa probed. Finally, seeing that Erugenel looked uncomfortable, Neisa backed off.
"I apologize, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable." She tried to explain. "I suppose that was very rude of me, wasn't it?"
Erugenel said nothing.
"Truly, I am sorry for making you feel uncomfortable."

Erugenel shook her head. “No.” She sighed. “Actually.” She smiled a little. “I think I should have let some one probe a long time ago. It is nice to have some one know besides a horse.” She told her Neisa smiled. “But please, take satisfaction in knowing you are the only speaking creature who knows and keep it to yourself.” She said her voice pleading. How awkward would it be if word got around and then the Prince himself found out? She would be completely devastated.

"Neisa? Neisa?" Míriel Málbrindal called as she walked down the palace halls. Nimfea trotted at her heels, looking about just as curious as she.
When she came to a door, her Elven ears picked up voices. "Neisa?" she called in a lofty voice, knocking gently on the door.

Neisa nodded in understanding to Erugenel before calling to Miriel. "I'm in here, Sister."
Miriel opened and closed the door behind her and her companion, the wolf Nimfea.
Nimfea lumbered over to Neisa and collapsed at her feet, and allowed her to pet his beautiful white ears.
"What were you two talking about?" Miriel asked, coming to the third chair.
"Books," Neisa lied.

Míriel gave a glare to her sister that could make the strongest confess their sins. One eyebrow arched and she looked unimpressed. "Books," she repeated. "Of course you were."
Neisa swallowed.
Míriel wasn't a fool, but she wouldn't press it. If her sister did not want her to know, she must have a good enough reason. But she did not like liars-and she could see them easier than an orc in open landscape. She was trained to-it came second nature to her now.
"A lovely room." Míriel commented softly, walking about and letting her finger tips trail over the chairs and spines of the books.

“Indeed it is.” Erugenel commented relieved that Neisa was true to her word- though in literal terms- nod. She sighed. Lady Miriel would probably find out eventually, she was good at that sort of thing. But she was only willing to confess so much in one day.
