The palace of Mirkwood- it looks magnificent, on the inside and out side. High walls, that makes a large and spacious building. A place of good people, good food, and happy servants. His Highness Lord Thranduil and his son Prince Legolas live there. And many Lords and Ladies have taken shelter in their home.

Erugenel sat on Aeglos staring up at the castle her heart pounding. She had decided to come back, to prove to herself she could come and go as she pleased, that she was not running away and hiding like she knew she had been. Thranduil had been begging her to come back, and for years she had made an excuse. But now… She put a long delicate hand over her angel antique face her pearl pink lips set as a tiny frown. Her misty zircon blue eyes were uneasy as they quickly passed from right to left over the towering building. The green flex in them seemed to dance about in the light, whether it was from excitement or nerves only she would know… and they were nerves.
Aeglos stood comfortable where he was. His lady was smaller than most elves, she was only five-six and she was petite making her even lighter than most of her kind. Not to mention she was half something else that made her almost completely weightless. To him she was the most beautiful living thing anywhere. But he took pride in her in all aspects, even her fears. Which for all of her life had been one thing. Before she had noticed him, nothing could frighten her, and then things changed.
“I do not think I can do this Aeglos.” Erugenel whispered her soprano voice unsteady. Listening to her was like listening to the ocean come on and off the shore, melodious and when angered frightening and dangerous. But right now, she was uneasy.
Aeglos whinnied in reply doing a side step. He wanted to go in, and he knew if he did not help her along she would turn away. So before she could make a move he bolted for the gates and began to make an uproar of noise.
“Aeglos, stop, what are you doing?!” Erugenel shouted her voice showing her surprise. Though she was not anywhere near afraid of being bucked off. The gesture was unexpected and out of character, but she was not stupid. “Aeglos calm down, I just need a minute.” She finished with a sigh. He stopped and trotted in place proudly, knowing he had won though had no where near broken her will. Now it was just a matter of time.

Míriel smiled into the streaming sunlight that only penetrated every other tree. Nothing could ruin this day. So far, it had been lovely. She'd taken a walk about the grounds, had breakfast with the King to talk over some things that had not been explained, had expertly scourged the Wood for different geographical bases, such as waterfalls, vallies-and now, she was resting in the garden, underneath a beatiful oak tree. The gown she wore had been a gift of the Lady Eowyn, on one of her visits. It was a beautiful gown of the burgundy Rohan color and accented with black and gold cuffs above the elbows and made a belt that hung loosely over her hips. The princess seams created full soft drapes over the sleeves that waved in the wind when she lifted her arm to turn a page in her book. The chapel train of the gown flowed like a river, covering her danity grey rabbit skinned covered feet. Her dark black curls were taken back with the niphridil flowers, the same ones she always wore. "They shall never fade..."
The palace shined like a white cathedral, brilliant and majestic. It warmed her inside, strangely. It was good to feel the sunshine, though she missed already the never ending Twighlight of Lothlorien...
Her head snapped up when she heard shouts.
“Aeglos, stop, what are you doing?!”
She knew that shout, because she had been shouted at in the same way-just not so worried sounding. When it quieted down again, Míriel returned to her book and smiled to herself. Such a lovely day.

She dismounted and looked about. “All right…” She breathed, she was back, and now there was no turning back. She took Aeglos’s reins and slipped in through the gates with him.
It had not changed, so long and it was still the same beautiful place it had always been she mused with a small smile. Why had things gotten so complicated she wondered?
“Lets take you to the stables.” She said kissing her horse’s nose.

Nimfëa lounged in the grass, the warm sun irresistably comfortable as it seemed to massage his pearl white and silk soft fur. Míriel smiled at her best friend, and whistled quietly. He jumped up, trotting calmly over to his Mistress and laying down at her side, resting his head in her lap. Míriel closed her book and was content to stroke his fur, watching the soldiers pass just beyond the garden's beginning, loving the soft neighs of their horses and the quietness of their talk, their low voices soothing as they mingled with the whisper of the trees.
"I think I like it here." She whispered to Nimfëa, who was already asleep.

She ended up putting him in the pasture where he could still roam about... and still get out she mused laughing. His strong long legs could get him up and over the fence easily enough. She sighed and held out an apple as he trotted over to her now that she was on the other side. He gladly took the offering and gently rubbed his head against hers.
"I heard you would be here." Erugenel turned recognizing the voice and lifted her chin when she saw she was right.
"What are you doing here?" She asked not sure whether to make it seem she was upset or happy. He frowned at her reaction and sighed.
"Erugenel I-"
"You do not need to say anything." She said turning around to pat Aeglos. When he gave a content reply she moved away and approached Halenor with her arms wrapped around her as she looked up at him. He was so much taller than her it was ridiculous. "I know why you did it." She said quietly.
"How did you find out?" He asked. She smiled admiring his sapphire blue eyes that revealed everything. He was shocked and pleased.
"I eventually find out everything." She told him. His surprised look turned into a smirk.
"I should have known." He said. She laughed.
"Oh Halenor I missed you." She said her chin trembling. "I thought, when you did it, I thought that the only person who understood me had lied to me about everything." He reached out and took her into his arms holding her tightly.
“When did you find out?” He asked.
“Just recently.” She told him. “Halenor, I never meant-“
"Shhh… We do not need to speak about it any more. It is in the past." He felt her nod her head against his chest as she clung onto him. He had saved her, at first it was assigned to him to do so, but after so long he ended up caring more than he thought he ever could. "Does Thranduil know you are here?" He asked.
"Yes, I just came back from a ride." She said. "I knew when I came back from it was for good."
"So no more traveling?" He asked. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Well, once in a while. But Mirkwood is my home. And I do not intend to leave it for so long again... not if I can help it." Halenor smiled.
"My wild morning glory has finally found her place?" She smiled at the familiar term, it meant more than one thing.
"Almost." She sighed... "Almost."

Her eye lids grew heavy with the beautiful songs of the wood that seemed to encircle her, and soon she was on the brink of dreams...
And that's when Nimfëa jumped up and ran through the garden. Míriel's eyes snapped open, watching as her white wolf galloped off out of the garden. Míriel sighed, her hair falling out of the Niphridil flowers. She smiled and picked them up, putting them inside the place where she'd left off at her book. She left the book at the base of the tree and stood, the skirts of her dress pooling out around her legs. She calmly walked through the garden, and exited until she saw the regular thick soft green grass of the wood. She looked about dark sapphire eyes filled with wonder as to where her best friend had gone off to.
"Oh, Nimfëa," she sighed, taking her skirts up enough to run, the rest trailing behind her like a lake of garnet water. "You loon, where did you go?"

Halenor smiled to himself as he pulled out his sword quick as lightning but he felt a small poke in his stomach before he had even rested his blade on her shoulder. He looked down and found her small dagger flirting with his traveling tunic. He laughed.
“Always anticipating.” He said. She smiled.
“I will just go get my word and then we can have a battle on equal terms.” She said backing away cautiously.
“Just like the old days.” She laughed.
“You have yet to win.” She told him.
“Some day.” He told her. “I will get you some day.”
“That will be when you find some one to marry!” She teased.
“That is not funny!” He called frowning. Erugenel smiled innocently at him then hurried off knowing he would wait there for her. He leaned against the fence and patted Aeglos’s neck as he let out a breath of air.
“It is good to see her smile again Age.” He said using his pet name for the horse. Aeglos nodded rustling his main under Halenor’s hand. “I did not like the way she looked when…” He paused. “Never mind.”

Míriel knew that Nimfëa would not get into trouble, but she did not like the feeling of him not being around. He always was, that was the point. As she crossed the courtyard, she saw Erugenel. She called out, "Lady Erugenel!" She seemed to have not heard her as she walked up the palace steps. Míriel sighed and looked about the place. He wouldn't go into the forest-not without her. The other places left were the training grounds and the stables. Knowing the training grounds were too far away for Nimfëa to run to and still not be able to be seen, she figured she'd head to the stables. She trotted in that direction and stopped just as she came inside, spotting Lalaith. She smiled and walked up to him, and gave him a hug around his head.
"Hello, my Rochir." She whispered, stroking the bit of his hair that fell between his ears and in between his eyes. She smiled nad leaned back to see his misty eyes. "Have you not seen our Nimfëa?" She sighed when he shook his white mane. "I didn't think so."

“Let our dear Lady know that I will return shortly if she gets back before I.” He said patting Aeglos. Though he doubted she would hurry that quickly to cross swords with him. She liked to beat him, but she would let him mull over the idea. She liked it when he thought about it. Why had it always been close, but never his? He chuckled answering his own question- because she had been more intent on learning than he.
He had yet to put Anton away so taking him by the reins he hummed a tune and led him in knowing he would enjoy the food and the place to rest.

Míriel bit her lip, hearing the hum of a stranger. She peeked around the stable doors and saw another Elf come back inside, putting his horse away. She looked back at Lalaith, who watched her with an amused curiosity, his swirling sea green eyes majestic.
She sighed and exited his stall and silently approached the stranger. In a lovely soft voice, she asked, "Excuse me, but have you seen a white wolf come by not too long ago?" He turned to her and she swallowed. "He ran off-I'm not sure where he would have gone to."

Halenor stood for a moment completely stunned. He wondered- had he ever seen something so incredible before in his life? Probably not he mused as he sized her up. After realizing he was staring he put on his friendly, but thoughtful smile.
“A white wolf?” He asked. She nodded her head in reply, though he would have rather hear her speak again. “No, I am sorry I have not.” He told her. “But if you need assistants in finding him I am sure I could postpone my lesson.” He said his smile becoming amused. “Truth be told, I would rather delay my beating.” He said with a laugh.

Míriel raised an eyebrow. He was by no means a small Elf-she didn't think someone could beat him that easily...though, she countered, she probably could if she tried hard enough. That made her smile to herself.
"I don't want to keep you." She said, strangely bashful. She'd never been bashful before. Oh get with it-where's Nimfea?
"It's no trouble," the Elf said. "Really."
She smiled again. "All right-thank you. My name is Míriel."

Halenor nodded knowing he recognized the name. “Halenor.” He said, he held out his hand and she stared at it for a moment before she took it. Halenor smiled dashingly savoring her touch, she definitely knew work, he could tell by the strength in her hands. But she still remained soft.
He knew he was holding on for too long when he heard the “ahem” from the opening of the stables. He jumped back when he saw her standing there playing with one of her blades.
“I see you have met Lady Miriel.” Erugenel said smiling.
“Er… yes.” He replied avoiding eye contact. She was too observant he thought almost giving into a pout. But he refrained and let out a held breath of air. But he ended up sucking it back in at her next comment.
“And is she not a beautiful Lady.” She added her smile growing when she noticed the quick tint of red on his cheeks. He quickly fought it away however and she got great satisfaction out of his nervousness.
“Yes indeed. But you do not need to start that up my Lady.” He hissed. Miriel looked between the beaming Erugenel to the sulking Halenor. “Now. Lady Miriel cannot seem to find her wolf so-“
“Go right ahead and help her find him. I will keep an eye out for him of course.” Erugenel offered looking at Miriel. Her teasing smiled turned small as she thought a moment. “I have other things to do then-“ She paused her smile growing again. “Never mind.” She said wistfully. How she would love to poke fun at him now, but she could tell he would not appreciate it, and of course she cared enough to be at least a little sensitive. “If you need me I will be out and about.” She said.

"Um-" Míriel looked uncomfortable and nodded. "I think he's close by..." Without looking up she walked toward the opposite exit of the stables. She looked about with wide sapphire eyes-and that's when she spotted the open palace doors, and smelled the fresh smell of food.
She smirked. "That minx. I'm sure I know where he is." she said, walking towards the palace.
