Welcome to Transfiguration. This might well be one of your more difficult courses at Hogwarts. Transfiguration is a study that focuses on the magic that changes on object into another, these objects can be animate or inanimate. Professor McGonagall will help you demystify the mysteries of Transfiguration. Under her guidance you will transform matches into needles, teapots into turtles, end even one specie into another. This class takes a lot of hard work and preparation, but study hard and you might become an animagus one day.
Sincerely, Professor Dumbledore

Quietly Lessien sat behind Hermoine Granger and opened her textbook.

Professor McGonagall looked up from her lesson plans. She glanced briefly at her watch, noting that it was still early, she went back to her plans. Waiting for the arrival of other students

Telery entered, with Elin following immediately. Softly wispering to took their seats behind Lessien. Telery tapped her shoulder softly to say hello. "Wonder what we're gonna get today, I haven't done any transfiguration since the exam last year, I've got to be a little rusty."

As Hermoine turned around and began reciting different tranfigurations listed in 'Hogwarts A History', Lessien tried her best to pretend interest she couldn't help but wonder why the girl had to always go around talking and talking about that stupid book.

This was one of her best classes, probably second to DADA, and a close second. When she came into the large classroom, only a couple people were there. Taking a seat along the front row, she set her things down and let her eyes travel about the room at all the fascinating charts and writing on the board. One of Gemma's interests was the animagi, and this was definitely the class to learn about them in.

Out of the corner of her eye Lessien saw Gemma come in and barely restrained herself for cheering, "Excuse me Hermoine." When Hermoine left to talk to someone else, she quickly waved at Gemma and motioned for her to come sit at the table across from her. "Thank Merlin you're here."

Gemma picked up her bag and slid it beside her seat as she sat down across from Lessien. Her dark eyebrow arched up and a coy smirk curved her lips.
"'Thank Merlin'? What's going on with you?" She asked amused, looking around for anything that might be out of place.

"Gah nothing much, just Hermoine talking about that stupid book again." She rolled her eyes, "What's up with you?"

Gemma made sure to look at the young girl with the fluffy brown hair before continuing. "Well, let's see-so far the day has consisted of someone blowing up their juice at breakfast, falling asleep during Potions, drawing through Charms, and loidering in the library for about an hour-I think I made the librarian mad because I kept passing the forbidden section." She smiled. "All in all, very boring. I like this class though, I'm looking forward to it." She said, smiling when McGonogall glanced up at her.

"Me too. I'm thinking maybe I should've sat somewhere else though. Don't mind me though. I really do like Hermoine, it's just....she can be exhasperating sometimes. She really is a know-it-all. Makes me feel stupid most of the time."

McGonagall looked up from her lesson plan. "Okay class, hope your holidays went well. I'll begin by collecting the homework." She made her way around her desk and stood infront of the class. "Very well," she said, "Please place your parchment on top of your desks, and I'll collect it." McGonagall looked expectantly at the class. "Come now, we don't have all morning."

Quickly Lessien and Gemma placed their homework on the table and waited for Professor McGonagall to collect it.

Elin took her homework out of her bag and placed it at the right hand side of her table. She was quite eager to find out what they were going to learn today. Transfiguration was one of her favourite subjects.

Telery handed in her homework as well. She hoped that today might be the day, but that was only a slight chance, they weren't on Animagi level yet.
"She could even make Dumbledore feel stupid" She whispered to Nessa, "I swear, sometimes I think she must have eaten that book, to remember it all better." But than Professor McGonagall had called their attention again and she sat up straight in her chair.
