You come up to the highest level of Hogwarts, and open a door to find the Owlery. Loads of owls are everywhere, some belonging to the school, and others to students. There are bird dropping every where and after trying to avoid stepping in the poop for a few steps you decide the effort is worthless and trudge through as if there was no white and black crap on your shoes.

Telery slowly trudged up the long stairs to the owlery. She had promised to let her parents know that they had arrived safely. I don't see what their so worried about, what can happen on the train to Hogwarts. She had said it to her parents so many time, even though she know it wasn't really true. A lot can happen on that train. A small smile appeared on her face at the memroy of the train ride here yesterday, she had finally got her revenge on that thickheaded toad from Slytherin, the one that had been after all year last year. But he wouldn't be bothering her at least for a few months, or so she heard. That was some mighty spell work, he'll have the tentacles for a long time. It was a good thing though that he couldn't tell who had done it, if her parents would find out that she had been experimenting with her spell work again, they'd be so furious, she would get a howler for sure. Better be a good girl and post their letter.
She finally reached the top and entered the owlery, she was disgusted by the owl poop and mouse skeletons. Eiiugh She walked up towards Dierna, her owl. Just as she had attached the letter to her paw she her a sound and quickly turned....

Elin just came walking up the steps of the owlery, whilst enjoying the view of the hills and the lakes that blended beautifully into each other. As she looked a little closer to the woods, just outside schoolground, she saw something moving. It didn't look like an ordinary animal, magically or otherwise... It looked.. well, like nothing she had ever seen before. Focussing on the spot where she had just seen this creature, she forget to lift her feet up high enough and tripped. Immediately Elin fell, shrieking, face down, and sliding down a couple of stairs, banging her head and wounding her legs, elbows and hands. "Arrrrgh, ouch", she groaned.

Telery saw nothing and realsed that the sound must have come from the stairs. It sounds like someone tripped. She hurried towards the doorway, and when she reached the stairs she saw her friend Elin lying halfway down the steps.
"Elin, are you ok?" She helped up her friend and padded some of the dust and mud of her sleeves. "What happened? Did you trip?"

"Ouch..", Elin groaned, obviously in pain. "I was walking up the steps when I saw soething odd in the woods. But then I tripped and tumbled down a couple of stairs. It hurts, but it's nothing serious I think... Could you help me up?" , she asked, while having anotherglimps at the forrest below. She couldn't see the creature anymore though.

Teleri helped her friend back on her feet and followed Elin's gaze towards the forest. There's nothing there anymore. [/i]Telery thought, but Elin was not a person to imagine things, so she gazed once more with new vigour.[/i]
"Whatever was there, its gone now. What did it look like? Telery asked curiously, she loved an adventure, and the forest always offered that. She drew her gaze away from the eeves of the wood and turned her green eyes on Elin once more.
"Sending a letter aswell? I had to let my parents know that we arrived safely, appearently they were afraid that the train would vanish or something like that." Telery smiled and suddenli realized that Dierna was still in the owlery. She ran back in and Elin followed.
"oops, I almost forgot to actually send her. To mum, Dierna, and make sure she sends back some sweets."

Rubbing her hip, and then her head, Elin looked at Telery, gratefull that she was there to help out. "Thanks. I don't know what I saw. It just didn't look...normal. Even in wizarding terms. I can only tell you that it was big.. very big. And it didn't look friendly. But don't tell anyone, ok? They'll just think I've lost my marbles or something..."
Once they were back upstairs, in the owlery, Elin picked her favourite school owl that went by the name of Ceres. She stroked her and strapped her letter to her leg. "I'm also sending a letter back to my parents to let them know we've arrived safely and to update them on the latest changes at Hogwarts.
She then lowered her voice so it was hardly anything more than a whisper. "Did you know that strange things are happening? My dad told me that the giants are on the move again to the west of Europe. And my mum said that there are starting to be more and sightings of werewolves in the UK! Some say that You-Know-Who might be on the return!"

"Yeah, I've heard about that too." Telery lowered her voice to a whisper as well. "Dad says there are a lot of random, unexplainable murders in the muggle world as well, more than usual. That happened in His time as well." Thinking about Voldemort always gave Telery the shivers.[i/]
"Hagrid told me yesterday that funky things have been happening in the forest. Maybe that's where the thing you saw come in. Hagrid said that there are more evil beings in the forest than there have been in a good many years. And some he'd never seen before."
