A little over a year later Gemma was born, however not too long after, Victor was killed in a Death Eater attack on the ministry when he was called in to help. Months after, Madeline sunk into depression that soon took over her, and she grew ill. Weeks later, she passed away, leaving her two young children with her mother, Cecilia Black.
Cecilia was already weak, but in the cold dark mansion, she was the only kindness the children could receive. Their Uncle Vincent was harsh and unforgiving, and when Cecilia died as well, in the same year Garron left for an all boys boarding school. This left Gemma with her Uncle in the cavernous Black Mansion. Only the day did she get her Hogwarts Letter did she believe she was worth more than being treated like a porcelain doll, locked away behind large black doors, watching life through her bedroom window...
