Your following the trail as most do while in Mirkwood but stop hearing some merry music. The sound would take you off the trail but you are certain you will be able to find it again- that is if you are a stranger. To the locals, however, that would be no dilemma at all for they know their realm like the design on their bow. You go some ways hoping you have not lost yourself until you begin to think you hear the music just above you. So you look up, and aye there they are. The elves of Mirkwood! To your left is sign hanging by the limbs of the largest tree that seems to be the entrance. It reads “Silver Tree”. Indeed the tree is silver, even it’s leaves, though the trees around it that also seem to be part of the merriment are the same as most of the other though that does not take away their independent beauty. Your eyes wonder some more until you notice there is an opening in the tree, but also a staircase that leads around the silver tree. The sign above the door reads "Rooms for Lodging.” Another sign by the stairs reads “Bar and Dining Area.”
If you're looking for rooms: You wander into the opening of the silver tree until you see a small door, you open it and go in until you come to a room with a desk. Sitting behind the desk is an elf. The elf asks, "Would you like to book a room?" You reply yes, and he tells you to tell him for how many days. "We provide meals and lodging," he says.
OCC: If you need this, please state that you are following the "room" roleplay, and then continue with the scene.
If you're looking for food/drink: You wander up the staircase leading into the top of the trees. Soon you come to a very clean bar/dining area. A list of food and drink are on the wall
Food Lembas with your choice of cheeses Roast Pheasant with Vegetables Pork Pie Vegetable Soup Rabbit Meat with Potatoes Chicken Breast and Red Wine Sauce
Drink Water Elven Mead Wine Ale Rum Brandy An elf tending the bar, say's he'll be happy to take your order for you, and you can take a seat at one of the tables, or one of the chairs in front of the roaring fire.
OCC: If you need this, please state that you are following the "bar" roleplay, and then continue with the scene.

Bar:
It had been long since Erugenel had been to this place. She had only gone once before she and her parents went away. Now she was home and ready to see if this place was still the same. Leaving Aeglos to wonder like he usually did she went up the stairs and smiled at the dancing couples and instrument playing elves. Carefuly she took a char by a table just out of the way of the dance floor and watched the elves go about their good times until an elf helping serve came to her table.
"Would you like anything to eat or drink?" He asked. She smiled, of course he would not recognize her, but she recognized him. "I would yes Hurin." The elf she called Hurin squinted his eyes at her and looked her over. "Do I know you?" He asked. "Yes, but I do not suppose you would remember me. It has been a long time." But her memory was excellent and it was scarce when she forgot a face. "What is your name?" She smiled under her white hood and moved it back just enough so she could really look at him with her crystal light eyes. Hurin froze and smiled fondly. "Ah yes, Erugenel, one could not forget the eyes of that young maiden. How have you been Lady Valadir?" "You call me Erugenel and then go formal to Lady Valadir." Erugenel shook her head. "What backword etiquet you have Hurin. Keep it at Erugenel and I will be happy." Hurin laughed. "Aye I will. But you said you would like some refreshment? What can I get you?" "Lembas and cheese I think. And a cool glass of water if its not too much trouble." She told him smiling. "That's one thing I remember about you besides your eyes Erugenel. You always thought of the conveniance of others." He laughed. "I'll get it now."
And then he was gone fetching her order as she went on staring out into the crowd.

Bar
Mininirime, who had been visiting old friends, had taken her lodging in the Silver tree a few weeks ago. Tonight she had met with some of her friends in the bar, to dance and just have a good time.
"I'm getting quite hungry," she smiled to the elf she was dancing with. "I haven't eaten all day." Mininirime step away from the dancing elves, while her friend began dancing with someone else. It was quit crowded in the bar, more elves had come the eat and enjoy themselves. When she spotted an empty table near the dance floor, she sat down and looked at the offered food and drinks. When she had made her choice she looked around at the other elves sitting around. The serving elf came with food for the elf sitting next to her, and after serving her he turned to Mininirime.
"Have you been able to make a choice, Mininirime?" She had eaten her often in the past weeks.
"Yes, I'll have the same as her, but with elven mead instead of water." She smiled at the elf sitting next to her, while Hurin walked back to the kitchen to get another portion of lembas and cheese.

Erugenel returned the elf’s smile and carefully took a sip of her water. It was good to finally be able to sit back and relax. She had not done so in a long time. She glanced over at the elf again- Mininirime… She though silently to herself, she did not recognize the name, nor the face. There were few here still she did not recognize. She wondered what happened to them all. Did they leave like her, but not come back? She did not know, and she figured she might never know. So instead of dwelling on those she knew she might never see again she thought about other things.
And the devilish smile crept on her face. Hurin had been madly in love with a dear friend of hers… she wondered. He was coming back with Mininirime’s order and she could not easily excuse the temptation to ask.
“Here you are.” Hurin set Mininirime’s order down and smiled pleasantly as she thanked him. When he turned to ask Erugenel if she was satisfied he paled. He remembered that look. How could he have forgotten it.
“Oh no- Erugenel please. What are you thinking of now?” Erugenel shrugged and smiled teasingly.
“So you have not forgotten.” She said with a smile.
“How could I forget the look that I was given every time—“ He stopped short and played with the rag he was holding his lips barely able to keep from smiling.
“So you have?” Erugenel asked. He looked at her and shrugged his smile spreading. “I remembered how fond of her you were. I am sorry I was not able to attend.”
“Arvenda is bearing our third child.” He told her. Erugenel’s smile suddenly changed. Envy, joy he saw them both and remembered the secrets she had told him about someday wanting a family of her own.
“I congratulate you Hurin.”
“Thank you.” And with a nod to her and then a smile to Mininirime he went back to the bar.

Mininirime, who never forgot a face, but was sure she had never seen this elf on any of her former visits, was surprised that the other elf was on such familiar therms with Hurin. And being unaturally curious, she could not help but ask:
"Are you a local?" She asked, "I come visiting from Rohan, though I was born near Lothlorien, and would call that my elven home."

Erugenel looked over at Mininirime and smiled; she knew she did not recognize her. “I was born in Mirkwood, raised here for about a thousand years of my life… and then my parents and I left for a long time. Hurin would not have known me if I did not recognize him. But I never forget a face.” She said with a smile. “And I had helped him win his fair lady’s heart.” She said with a content sigh. “But any way, I am not exactly local.”

Mininirime smiled. "And are you just visiting, or are you back to stay?" Mininirime knew it might be considered too forward, she didn't even know the elf, but she was just interested, she felt this elf would be of great importance one day. "I have always loved Mirkwood, ever since I first came here. But I never seem to be able to stay somewhere, my heart is too restless to remain in one place."

Erugenel smiled. “It has been like that for most of my life…” She twirled her glass around and thought for a moment. “But… until something or some one comes along, I think I won’t be grounded to one place for long. Without something keeping me in one place I grow restless and go off looking for it.” She laughed. “I know it sounds silly.” She finished distracting herself by nibbling on her lembas.

"No not at all" Mininirime said after a taking a sip of wine. "I think that that's the reason for me too. When there is nobody waiting for you to come hoom fast, you take your time looking around. And there is so much to see and enjoy in Middle Earth, I wouldn't want be in one place for the rest of my life, especially since that can be forever." Mininirime smiled. "But if you are looking for eligible bachelor's, you've come to the place where the most wanted lives. Every time I get news from Mirkwood I hope to learn that Prince Legolas has finally found his one, but till now I've been disapointed." OOC: Legolas is still single right? or was he taken previously? Not that I want him, just a thought

OOC: Um, sort of. Only because I decided since he was pretty much shoved into my lap when the board first started I’m going to keep him comfortably there. I’m sure that sounds selfish, and I guess it is, but I thought it’d be easier instead of having a bunch of girls getting huffy over the matter I’d just keep things the way they were before.
Erugenel’s face went suddenly red. She could feel the heat rise into her cheeks but forced it away, hopefully before the other elf had noticed. Wasn’t he the reason why she had convinced her parents to take her with them? No one knew that secret, in the beginning they were going to ask Lord Thranduil to watch over her here, but she had been so afraid of him she had convinced them to take her away. What was she doing back here any way? She had always promised herself never to return, and now here she was—she looked around. Every one was smiling and happy, she had missed one of her dearest friend’s weddings because of her fear… How could she have let him chase her away? She wanted to laugh at herself; he did not even know what he had done. He probably would not even remember her. She had certainly grown from a child to something completely different.
“How wanted do you think he is?” She asked now trying to sound humorous. She was not going to let a shadow from the past ruin her life. Who knows, maybe he had changed in the few thousand years she had been away to a point she would no longer care for him. “Surely there are a number of women who could resist him.” In numbers she was hoping herself was included. Besides, who said she would actually see him when she was visiting any way?

Eruedraith followed Míriel up the stairs and into the bar. He'd been on her case all afternoon, not giving her a moment's peace. For once in her long life, Míriel could honestly say someone had driven her to drink-because that's exactly what he'd done. He made her so desperate for relaxation, she wanted some wine. Thick, fragrant summer wine, red as blood and warm as sweet as honey.
"I won't allow it." The older man said. "You're too young and I don't care what kind of training you have had."
Míriel gave him a glare. "You do realize that I've had more training than half your soldiers, and have had more training than any two elves here?"
Eruedraith slammed his fist down on the table, making the waiter jump. Míriel said in a tone like she was treating a child, "Calm down."
The waiter swallowed. "Um...would you like something to eat or drink?" His eyes kept going to Eruedraith as if he might strike him.
"An order of rabbit meat and potatoes and mead." Eruedraith snapped.
The waiter turned to Míriel. She smiled prettily up at him with primrose lips, coral flushed cheeks and twinkling emerald eyes. "A glass of wine, please." She said kindly.
"No!" Eruedraith snapped. "She doesn't need wine."
Míriel rolled her eyes and winked at the waiter, reassuring him it was ok. "Don't worry about him. He's just an old crab." she said smiling, her mood better.
The waiter grinned and walked off to fill their orders.
"I don't understand what the big deal is," Míriel said in a reasoning tone. "I'm not going to be demoting anyone, if that's what you're worried about."
"I'm worried for the sake of the soldiers." Eruedraith replied. "They won't want a woman meandering about the training area while they practice."
She glared. "I hope you mean that in the best possible tone." She said threateningly. "Because I'll remind you I was the best of my superiors-all. Men."
"That may well be," He grunted. "But they don't know that."

“Well, there are.” Mini said smiling. “I being one of them.” She replied coolly. “But if you are interested, I have connections.” She said slyly. Erugenel laughed hoping her nervousness did not show.
“I am quite happy the way I am at the moment.” She told her. She had seen the blush she mused silently. She was going to have to learn how to better control herself.

Eruedraith glared at the younger elf maiden. She met his gaze with a cool jade stare. "If you're so sure of yourself, go ask some of the other females in here, please. I'm dying to know the answer." She spoke in a tone that was threatening.
Eruedraith slumped in his seat as their orders were brought to them. Míriel smiled triumphantly and drank a gulp of wine. It tasted warm going down, sweet and inviting. It made her eyes sparkle of a deeper green, her cheeks flush pinker, and her lips seem redder.
"Well, I thought you were being very childish about the entire thing. With a female intuition, you cannot go wrong. Besides, you don't want me going to find support in the agruement." Míriel said the last bit louder, making sure people around them heard it.

Erugenel and Mini stopped their conversation to hear the newer conversation take a rather obvious turn. Erugenel lifted her brow at Mini and smiled.
"I have not overheard an argument like this since I was in Moria." She laughed.

"Well believe you me, m'lady," Míriel said as the waiter refilled her glass. "I'd rather not have it. However, I'm not from Mirkwood, so I'm not one to say how the tradition around here is held. However, I believe the Lady of the Galadrahim would beg to differ." she said, taking a sip, winking at the two maidens who were smiling at a now blushing red Eruedraith.
