I'm so sorry for your loss, Nesia. I hope you and your family will recover from this hard time; your grandmother wouldn't want you to be sad for long. *hugs*
Let's see, since I left for a while, I've been keeping track of my health, looking for any changes, etc. I've been keeping myself distracted with some of my projects, getting as much rest as possible, eating healthier, etc, which so far has been working. My sister's been a real help with keeping me calm and from going into another panic. I haven't been able to go to the doctor for several reasons: car breaking down, money, time, etc.
Yesterday I went out with the family and our housemate, it's just too ridiculously hot to be indoors; it must have been 109-115 F, according to my dad. We went to the mall and just hung out, just for the air conditioner. Then we went to the park and ate some pizza from the Costco, it was good. Ended up yelling at a lot of drivers that were driving their cars around inside the park, which they really shouldn't do, it's so dangerous and they could hit someone; there's a reason they placed a gate at the entrance. :/
Been keeping cool though, and trying to design a characters and a mecha. I haven't had luck with much exept for one of the characters, so I'm satisfied with that so far. w00t. I worked on a contest entry for DA, very proud of it; not easy writing with word count limits. Heh. ^^;

I feel sorry for you loss too, it's very hard when you lose someone so close to you. I hope you'll get through this hard time ok. *more hugs*
I haven't posted for a few days, because I've been at my bf's place and he doesn't have any internet yet. But I hope he has it within a few days.
I haven't done much of anything lately though. During the weekend I went home, because my parents came home form their three and a half week holiday in the north of Spain. Tuesday I went to Aachen with Jen, we went to eat Sushi, and it was great. After that we ate a huge ice-cream, which was very refreshing. Afterwards I ate at Jen's house, and for the first time I ate real Yorkshire pudding, which was really nice too.
As you can see, I haven't done much more than eat and sleep and lay around since the weekend, just like a cat.

That sushi was lovely wasn't it? I'm really turning into a sushi addict. I find myself wanting to eat sushi at the strangest of times (in bed for example, or right now). Firstly I want to apologize for not being around last week. Just like in America, we've had a massive heat wave here in Europe aswell. I think that for almost every day of July we had temperatures over 25 degrees celsius, mostly even over 30 degrees celsius. This summer is already in the top 3 of hottest summers on record, and it has the potential to become the hottest summer ever. Because our computer is in the attic of our house, it's simply unbearable to spend time up there. Most of the time I just sit in the living room, next to the fan, either reading or watching TV. Right now it's cooling down a little bit, and we're going to have some more pleasant temperatures this week. I'm intending to do a great many things before the next heat wave hits us (according to the BBC that's already next week). So today I'm in Eindhoven with my boyfriend. We were wanting to go into the city, but sofar I'm just stuck in the room of his computerclub, of which he is vice president (which is good aswell, cause now I get the time to post here ). Tomorrow I'm going to see Inge (Mininirime) in Nijmegen, where she lives and I'll stay with her till thursday. And we're going to have so much fun!! We plan on watching Memoirs of a Geisha, hoping to see Marie-Antoinette in the cinema, go to the cocktailbar and have some Caribbean coconutrum (probably quoting a lot of POTC aswell, haha). And ofcourse celebrating her birthday, because she turns 21 tomorrow, yay!! And I'm going to surprise her with a great present, but I won't spill what it is just yet . That's it from me for now.

Jen's here now, and the present was and is great!!! She's bought us tickets to go to a symphony orchestra playing the Lord of the Rings[/i] soundtrack. I'm so looking forward to it . I'm pretty sure we'll have a great time, but I won't spoil it by spending all the time on the net, so this will probably be my last post for a few days.

I know what you mean about the heat, I even had to turn off my computer as well and I've never, in any summer, done that before. c_c; I can't sleep, even at night. Everyday during the heat weave I hear of people passing out or dying because of the heat. I'm one-hundred percent sure Al Gore's sitting on his couch saying: "I told you so... " But yeah, I'm glad it's been pleasant weather lately as well. Went out to the park with the family; next day went to the book store, got 'Howl's Moving Castle' by Diana Wynne Jones, and 'Geisha, a Life' by Mineko Iwasaki. Then just hung out for a while. Next day I finally got my new glasses, I really miss my old pair. X3 Aaand started working on something for a friend. Yesterday and today were quite 'blah', but better than bad, I suppose. X3; Well, that's about it.

I'm so happy that the weather is more pleasant now. I don't even mind when it's raining! Today I decided to some stuff that I really needed to do. Though at first I slept in untill noon , but once I got myself up and running I did the dishes, made a phonecall that I needed to make and finally did my laundry (I absolutely dislike doing that). Now I'm waiting for my boyfriend to show up, so yeah. That's my "active" day sofar.

I went to 'Zeeland' (Zealand) this weekend, my bf and I were going to go sailing, by the wind down there was too hard for us, so we are going another time . But I had a lovely weekend anyway. We went to Middelburg and Vlissingen and to the beach. I love the sea when the wind is so hard and the waves roar so loud, it's really amazing. Yesterday evening we went to the cinema. We wanted to go to 'The Celestine Prophecy' but the cinema did not show it. So we had to chose between 'The Lake House' or 'Superman Returns'. I really didn't think the first one was really good, so 'Superman' it was. It was pretty good, though it's a petty that 'The Celestine Prophecy' was a no show, because though I don't know whether the story is any good, I so the images of the Trailer and I would go to it just for the landscapes and the nature in it.

Perhaps checking through Yahoo! Movies might be helpful to see which theater is showing The Celestine Prophecy. ^^;
I didn't do much in the weekend; finally got off my ass and got to working on some projects. They're going so slowly, but at least I'm getting them done. .__.; Well, at least I finally picked the title for a future comic I'm going to do. I watched Advent Children, Phantom of the Opera, then the first half of Fellowship of the Ring. Tried defragmenting my computer, but it took too long to even begin, so I was like "screw it", and went to sleep. Finally got around to playing Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X now that the PS2 has finally been fixed. Though all day I've been stuck with a migraine; it's finally passing though, so it's all good. I've been a little disappointed as well when I found my story (which I've posted in the Cornor of Tales board) didn't win the contest. I worked really hard on it, and I didn't even make third place. .__.; So yeah, that's how things have been for me lately. :/

I'm sorry about your story Karla! Better luck next time!
Today I didn't quite know what to do with myself. After hanging around until about 2 oçlock, I decided to make myself usefull and to sort out the paperwork of last academic year, and archive it. While I was doing that I decided to watch some Charmed season 1 episodes on DVD. I think I watched about 6 episodes while sorting everything out...

It's alright, perhaps next time I'll win.
Thursday, I spent the day reading and playing video games since I had no internet. Friday I went out with my best friend, just hung out with her for a while, went to her house, watched Gokusen, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Full Metal Panic. After that we took a walk, then goofed around with her brother who is friggin' crazy. XD Today I spent the day working on my latest drawing. Finally got around to listening this CD my best friend's brother gave me, when I realized there were some songs by VNV Nation, which I should have realized since I love industrial music. X3 Then made plans with the same friend for another friend's birthday, which we sadly forgot. ^^; Thats pretty much it. X3

I've been gone for quite a long time, and with valid reason. I've been crazy busy. Last I was on was probably more than weeks ago. 18-08: Me and Jen and two of Jen's friends went to a orchestra performing parts of the soundtrack of the Lord of the rings. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I spend most of my time sitting at the edge of my seat com[letely wrapped up in the music. Some of it even brought tears to my eyes, even though you couldn't see the touching or sad scenes that belonged with that music, the music was strong enough to evoke those feelings. Behind the orchetra was a large screen showing drawings of the lord of the rings. It was really beautifull and I had a lot of fun, als before it, when we went to eat sushi and a huge ice-cream. 19-08: I joined my mum and dad, searching for a new comfy chair for my dad's since his old one broke during the holidays (I suspect my brothjer handled it a little to roughly). I the beginning it was fun, but the longer it took the more tired of it I got, luckily I had brought my book, Memoirs of a Geisha, to read. We also went to a few bathroom showrooms, and the prices of sinks and other bathroom equipment really shocked me thoroughly, it was so very expensive, thousands of euro's sometimes. I was really rediculous. 20-08:[/i] This is when te really busy period began. I was a mentor for the new first year students of English, my study, and that was a load of work. It started at two a clock, and I spend 3 hours waiting in the rain collecting the 'kids' as we affectionately call them and bringing them to dryer quarters. After that we split the groups and got to know the kids we were going to guide for the following one and a half week. We played silly games to remember the names (which is quite difficult with 14 new faces) afterward we all went to drink something in one of the cafe's and later went out to 'party', as mentor I had to stay with the last kids, luckily the kids were tired of the new impressions and I was able to go to bed at 1.30 21-08:[/i] We had an early start, some introductory speeckes and an tour around the campus. Halfway during the day I had to do an exam, which I am sorry to say I did not pass. Later there was a quiz about the English speaking world, but it was cut short due to some malcommunication so we played a silly game again until the openingsmarket began, a place where you can get a load of free stuff, like pens, survival packages, condoms, bags, etc. I hamstered and came back with a load of stuff. We were to have a 'quest'. The kids had to do a few things and collect a list of items. But it rained to badly so we didn't go. Later that evening we went to drink something and out again after it. This nigth there was one guy that was a little more into the partying mood and I didn't get home till 3.30. 22-08: Once again an early start. today we had a sportsday, we did a load of really and made up sports and even won a few times. That took the whole day. In the evening we continued the quiz, but unfortunately we didn't won, even with the help of a few very helpfull Englishman (which some would call cheating, but I think its using all your sources.) Luckily for me one of my fellow mentors stayed with the group this eveing and I could go to bed fairly early, round midnight. 23-08: As the week progressed getting up early becam harder to get up early. Once again there were some introductory speeches and afterwards I had yet another exam, which I failed so miserably it was rather shamefully. I left the exam within half an hour and joined my group at a picknick, after the picknick we went bowling, which was good fun. We had dinnere in an italian restaurant where one of friends and co-mentors works, after we finnally had the quest, but my group once again did not win. After the quest me and my friend/co-mentor Elfi took our kids to 'the three sisters' a sort of cafe/disco in Nijmegen and stayed there till it closed at 4 am and went to have soup and the back to bed. 24-08: Yet another early start, and this time it was hellish, the rain was pouring down and we were to go rowing at the rowing-society PHocas, it was a half an hour ride through the pouring rain and we were all soaked when we got there. An the new that it was all for nothing, because on of the leaders had called it of but had neglected to call us, didn't improve out moods. Back at the university my group played 'Who Am I' which was good fun again and went to rest for a while, because it promised to be a long night again. We went to 'Doornroosje' (sleeping beauty) for a big party and had to stand in line for a little less than 2 hours, but once inside it was great and we stayed once more till 4.00 am, and it was killing me, but in a good way. 25-08: My group plus the other three mentors in my group (two of which a good friends of mine) went on the weekend camp, but I stayed at home, because I had two exams that day, which luckily went quite good. I finally saw my bf again (who had been in Australia for a week) and slept a great deal. 26-08: Simon had a family thing which I attended too, and I must say that I quite enjoyed myself. But I felt a little wrecked at at the end of the night I noticed I was getting a bladder infection. 27-08: I woke up with still a bladder infection, which I hoped to cure with drinking a lot and homeopathic medicine, and a sore throat, I slep a lot, but during the next night the bladder infection had worsed so much that I peed blood, so I went to the night doctor who prescribed me antibiotics. 28-08:[/i] I had to get back to the introduction again and we were supposed to have a high tee, but that utterly failed so we just went immediately to my favourate part of the whole introduction: Spoil-Your-Mentor-Day. We went to my room and watched a film, the kids had bought a load of nice food and drink, after it we went to a chinese restaurant and at night we had a ghost-quest, which was fun, cause we were the gohsts and had to scare the kids. I went to bed immediately after it. 29-08: Finally the last day, we played life-statego, which was fun, except for the rain and the thunderstorm, the thurnder was really close and one of my kids told us three people she knew had died last friday because the lighting had struck a tree near them. That scared us all royally. When we had to go back fromt the forest it was still pouring and thundering, ones the lighting stuck 25 metres behind us, and we all felt the shock a little due to our umbrellas. That afternoon we had a little free time, afterwhich we went to dinner in a restaurant which has the coolest names for it's dishes, like the 'Pirates of the Caribbean', and after that to the OPA (open podium eveinig) in which we performed our own version of the Bohemian Rapsody, which was a fiasca but really a lot of fun. After that we went to the I- feast at the university, but I left at 1 o'clock, because I still felt a little under the weather. Since then I've been studying my arse of, I still had an exam on thrusday, which I think I passed, and had do read a shit-load of pages and essays for the new year, which started today. But I am on track now, which is a very good thing. And I even managed to find to time to catch on with you guyus, so I'm pretty pleased with my self right now. I hop this hasn't bored you all too much, and if it did, well you shouldn't have read it all
