“Why we have never been introduced before is a wonder to me.” Erugenel saidin reply, indicating that she was indeed a miracle worker. “I would end up with minor injuries like this all the time when I was young. But they were minor so I suppose it was not worth going to the best for tending.” She finished thoughtfully. “Thank you for helping me.”
Mean time—Aeglos trotted happily through the woods and made his way to where he knew he aught to be forbidden from. But his master had forgotten to tell him to stay away from here, so he could not technically be punished for wondering this way. He trotted over to the palace’s stables and gave a happy neigh wondering if the same stable hand he had heard of was still working there.
“Bor, look. It’s a stray!” It was the name of the elf- Bor. And the elf that had spotted him was too young to be any matter to him. So walking up to the elf he knew now was indeed the stable hand Erugenel knew he stopped in front of him and began to sniff at his face. The elf laughed at the gesture and patted the horse’s jaw.
“He is a friendly one. Must belong to some one around here. Lothel, clear one of the stables we will put him in there and give him some food until his master wonder’s this way to pick him up.” As soon as Aeglos smelt the grain he was all to happy to be put in a stable with it, some hay, and knowing that Erugenel would have to eventually come here for him. He could jump the gate if he wanted to of course, but he would rather see the place she talked of so much rather than hurrying back to her after filling his stomach.
He knew she would eventualy have to come here when he did not come when she called.

OOC: Guess who's back! Hi Nessa!
Somewhere in the woods, after just crossing the borders, another figure was making her way through. She had no trouble finding a way in, she was trained to get around problems. Her horse's honey colored coat shined in the sun, just like his mistress's own hair. The massive wolf at her horses' ankle's sniffed along the growth, his ear's perking up at any twig that broke out of place.
Míriel Málbrindal's emerald like eyes scanned the sun lit, tree canopy covered wood as they made their way through. The signs of rushed riders screamed at her through the broken underbrush and hoof prints.
Her eyebrow arched up, a frown creasing her lips as she peered down with almost a glare like look. Something is upset.
Moving faster now, the trees began to flash by fog like as her horse picked up speed. The wolf had no trouble keeping up, stretching his muscles as he took long strides, crushing branches and all kinds of things beneath his paws. When the trees grew thinner and the branches grew lower, she knew they were getting deeper into the woods, and that she would be coming upon the center of Mirkwood. No sooner had she thought it, did houses in the trees appear, the elven realm holding a rain scented fragrance and a mystical glowing darkness. She slid off her horse, her robes, the color of crushed cranberries, pooling all around her feet and as she walked created a bit of a train. The gold amber of her curls bounced as she carried herself calmly. The scent of the Niphredil flowers that held her hair back followed her.
She walked with purpose to the stables. Crafted almost like a fortress, the enchanting grandeur was fit for the finest horse in Middle Earth. Míriel spotted someone else in the stables, but made no move to call out for help. She simply found an empty, unoccupied stall, and lead her horse inside it. She took a letter from the bag that she slung over the door and put it in her robes.
She took her slender, manicured fingers and affectionately held the horse under his mouth. "Take care, Lalaith." She whispered.
The horse seemed to relax then at the sound of her voice. She was glad of it, and looked to her wolf. Interestingly enough, he waited patiently at her feet, sitting and looking about the stables. He was a massive thing, that was true, but he gave off no threat, therefore not upsetting the horses like normal wolves would. His crystal grey eyes swirled with secrets he had seen, and when Míriel looked down upon him, it was with love.

OOC: YAY! You know what, I was very tempted to use the name Lalaith for Erugenel’s horse. But I decided against it. Instead I’m using it for a story lol!
“My Lord Thranduil.” It was one of the archers who had helped shoot down the dragon from earlier that day. After the nameless maiden had taken of with Mininirime they had speculated what to do with the carcass and decided to best get rid of it by burning it. But of course, such matters needed to be brought to the King’s attention.
“What is it?” Thranduil asked kindly. A reason why his people loved him, he was protective, and harsh with others. But when it came to those he was to take care of he did so with love.
“Earlier this morning there had been a disturbance at the palace.”
“Yes I know this. But many have neglected to tell me what had caused it.” Thranduil replied coolly.
“Well. My Lord a maiden-elf had chased it here.”
“A maiden-elf?” Thranduil asked with interest. “Any one we know?”
“I cannot tell my lord. Some say they swear they recognize her from a long time ago but cannot place who.”
“All right, tell me more.”
“When the dragon came by the walls she screamed at us to shoot at it. Of course we did and then it flew back into the thicker part of the forest. She chased it, and we followed. We got there in time to aid kill it—in a way. She did most of the work, but Lady Mininirime took her to see a healer.”
“I see.” Thranduil rubbed the side of his face and thought a moment. “I presume you have found a way to get rid of the dead body?”
“The captains think it would be best to burn it. That way it will decompose quickly and be given back to the earth to feed new life.”
“Good… now what did the maiden look like? And which healer did she go to so I can thank her for bringing a dragon here and then killing it.” He asked with a bit of humor in his eyes.
“The lady she… she well.”
“Come now you could not have forgotten her face already could you?” He asked. The soldier smiled lightly.
“I do not think any of us will for a long period of time your highness.”
“Oh really, then elaborate.”
“Her hair… it was long and wavy, almost curly. It was a silver blond, much like a moon beam.” He started. “Her eyes were an iced over zircon blue flecked with green. She is short for an elf. She was petite but sturdy, sharp but soft features…” The elf shrugged. “She was pure and white as if she were something out of a dream.” He said. Thranduil’s face had hardened during his description. He had only known one maiden with such characteristics.
“Find her.” He said in a tone the elf could not determine. “I want to see her.”

OOC: I've done that before...actually, I did that with this character...I'm such a dunce. XD! "Come along then." She murmered to the wolf. The two exited the stables and began the peaceful walk about the grounds. Míriel wanted to familiarize herself with the Kingdom, even though she probably should have informed someone she had arrived here early. Or even passed the boundary, she thought coyly as she saw the palace looming ahead like a giant white pearl. (OOC: I just made up white...is that ok?) She didn't enter though. Guards stood about the doors, and she wasn't done looking around. From the front of the palace that was essembled with various thrushes of flowers, it winded around to the left into a large court yard, and then into a garden. She made a mental note to visit it later. Further back, she heard the training of soldiers. The familiar twang of the bow was almost just like home, however the Galadrahim's weapons were different. As she walked further into the woods, something hit her nose strongly. She knew exactly what it was too. Death.Nimfea caught the scent as the same time and as he did, he began to quietly growl. They walked further, and heard the low voices of Elven men. As she quietly found a place behind a tree, she peered from behind to find a scene most surprising, though she didn't gasp and her eyes didn't widen. A massive carcass of a dragon lay not twenty feet away. Somewhere in her blood, a part of her wanted to turn away. Why was it dead? There were almost none left. She'd been well aware of a couple still alive...but now she saw one dead for the first time. Freshly dead, she should put it. She couldn't see all the soldiers that were taking charge of the situation, but she knew which one was this King Thranduil. He came only minutes after she herself had saw the scene. He looked very stern at the enormous beast, but underneath it, Míriel could see a very warm elf. "We might enlist the help of the forest." she heard someone say. Stepping out from around the tree, Nimfea followed at Míriel's side as she approached the group of soldiers. Her voice carried pleasantly, commanding yet ever melodious. "If you are thinking of burning it," She said as the soldiers parted for her to step forward. "You will indeed require the tree's help. Burning it could easily catch fire to your," she smirked as she curved the word, "charming wood. The last thing you'll want, after this incident, is a blaze." Míriel gave a look about the beast once more before looking at King Thranduil. "Míriel Málbrindal, your Excellency. I do believe you were expecting me." She gave a respectful curtsey, bowing her head as she did. Nimfea, unnoticed, bowed his head before the king as well. He knew power when he saw it. Many of the soldiers held raised eyebrows and wide eyes. King Thranduil raised his eyebrows smiling a bit surprised and unbelieving. "My Lady," He said, making a short bow himself. "I do believe we weren't expecting you for a few more days." Míriel smirked secretly. "I believe in keeping people on their toes." She glanced again at the mess. "It seems, though, I almost wasn't needed. Unfortunate spot to slay a dragon, is it not?" She turned back smiling playfully. The King nodded once, his own grin a little more shadowed. "Most definitely." "When do you believe it happened?" "Oh, we know it happened within the hour." He said darkly. Míriel raised an eyebrow. "Quite? Who is the victor?" She asked with a bit of sarcasm. King Thranduil looked over his shoulder. "I've sent someone to find them, actually." He turned back and faced her, his face now a bit puzzled. "Lady Málbrindal, how did you get past our borders?" Míriel smirked and said, "I have the training to get past any border, your Majesty." There was an air of bedazzlement and mystery about her. He saw her sarcasm and her gentleness in one, but he could also see her strength and her talent-for anyone to get passed all of Mirkwood's soldiers was indeed, talented. Or magical... OOC: If you find any problems, shout it

“Aeglos! Aeglos…” Mininirime and Erugenel searched around not going to far from the Healer’s home. “I cannot believe this.” Erugenel whispered.
“Where could he have gone?” Mini asked.
“Any where… especially if it meant good grain and good company.” She frowned and exchanged glances with Mini who sighed.
“The best place for such things is the palace stables.” Mini told her.
“I had a feeling.” Erugenel said with a sigh.
“Come on. Maybe if we are discreet we can get him, then hurry out.”
“I would appreciate that.” Erugenel said as Mini’s horse hurried over. And soon both found a way onto Mini’s horse, it was a tight fit, but they managed. Soon they were on there way to the palace being as discreet as they could manage in the uncomfortable situation.
After a good amount of time they went through the gates.
“There are the stables.” Mini said pointing towards them. Erugenel nodded her head and dismounted her horse and hurried to it slipping in before any one noticed her. There he was at the end of the stables eating happily in his stall. Strange he only allowed others to put him in a stall when he was being mischievous. And she would say he was trying to get her caught.
“Aeglos. You little rat. You are trying to get me caught aren’t you. I should feed to the spiders.” She whispered angrily. But the sweet face and innocent neigh easily swayed her from wanting to feed him to spiders. Not that she was serious in the first place. “Come on we need to get out of here.”
“Is he yours?” It was Bor. She recognized him, but he obviously did not know her.
“Um… yes.” She said with a polite smile. “I am sorry for the inconvenience. I can take him out of your hair now.”
“No troubles here. He’s a good fellow.”
“Yeah, only when he wants to be.” She replied. Bor smiled.
“A good horse is one who has his own mind.”
“Yes, but they are also a nuisance.” She retorted with a smile.
“Bor.” Bor turned to face the soldier who had recently seen Thranduil.
“Yes?” He asked.
“Do you know where that maiden went who took down the dragon.” Aeglos neighed at once and Erugenel went deathly pale. Oh no. Someone told him and he knows! Bor and the elf looked there way as soon as Aeglos made his announcement. The elf smiled when he saw her. “Ah there you are. The King would like to thank you for-“
“No thanks are necessary. I will just be on my way.” But he was bigger, stronger, and was in fact under the King’s command. She was going nowhere without him now. Erugenel turned to look at Aeglos as he began to drag her along.
“You did this on purpose you little snake. You knew I would get caught; I am going to butter you up nicely when I feed you to the spiders. And if I’m in the mood I’ll take a bite myself.” She was struggling against the elf pulling her along knowing it was no use. But she was not about to go easily. “I am going to be trapped here forever. You here me, he is going to be keep me here forever!” She shouted.
“Lord Thranduil I found her.”

Míriel heard the shouting just as they came into view. She turned to see two male Elves practically dragging a lady. She raised both eyebrows cooly, eyes glittering with curiosity. What's this?
"I did not mean to interfere-"
She was cut off when the soldier yelled, "Lord Thranduil I found her."
Nimfea sniffed the air, looking up at his Mistress. She gave him a look that clearly said, No idea.

The smile on Thranduil’s face was like a snake’s. And the look on Erugenel’s was of pure terror.
“Lady Valadir.” He said coolly stretching her name out slyly. She gulped.
“Lord Thranduil. What a erm… pleasant surprise.” She said with an unsure smile.
“You have been avoiding me.” He told her.
“Well, avoid is a funny word your highness—“
“Do you not like Mirkwood any more?” Erugenel frowned at once and knew he was going to play the guilt card.
“Now that is not fair.” She started.
“I have been trying to bring you home forever and now here you are… But sneaking around, killing a dragon… how many times have your father and I gone over this sort of thing?”
“Too many times to count.” Erugenel mumbled crossing her arms. Thranduil’s snake’ish smile lit up at once. He had missed her. And he was all too happy to express it with a hearty hug. Erugenel was caught up all at once. She did not know how to react. But he was so warm and happy the way he used to be she could not help but love him back and return the comforting embrace.
“I have missed you.” She whispered in his ear.
“And I you. Why have you stayed away for so long?” She had to lie. How could she tell him it was his son’s fault? And how embarrassing would that be any way? He was like a father to her; he would tease her about the whole thing. And who knew if he would approve any way. The two were nothing like brother and sister, but… she did not know. And it did not matter. She was going to get over it.
“I have been letting my interests get in the way she told him.” It was part true at least.
“All right, well your interests will have to be pursued here.” He told her. She laughed.
“I knew you would say that.”

Míriel's smile was secret as she hid her mouth behind her knuckles and cleared her throat. The King stopped and nodded.
"Sir?" One soldier asked. "About the beast?"

Thranduil still holding onto Erugenel’s shoulder as if she were going to runaway, and she probably would have tried looked back at the dragon. “Inform the ents of the burning, we will need their help to keep it under control.” He said. “Now, Erugenel we have another visitor today, this is Lady Málbrindal.” Eurgenel smiled and held out her hand.
“It is good to meet you Lady Málbrindal.” She said with a sigh.

The corner of Míriel's mouth twitched into a smirk. She glanced down at the lady's hand before taking it and shaking it. "Nice to meet you, in return." She said. She looked at the King. "If you are going to call the Ents, I'd much like to be here when they come. I believe I am familiar with some of them." On all her journies, she had met most of the remaining Ents and was well aquainted with them in Fanghorn Forest. She wanted to see if there were any here she knew. She looked at the young woman, giving her a laughing look of mischeif and secrets.

Maybe being back in Mirkwood was not going to be all too bad, she liked this Lady M. very much already.
“I feel the same Thranduil.” Erugenel said. “That are a few here I have longed to see.”
“Since when did you commune with ents?” Thranduil asked.
“I have been gone a long time.” She informed him. He smiled at the young woman and nodded in reply.
“All right, lets call on the ents!”

OOC: I have no idea how you'd like to go about that. o.o Um...so...DRABBLE!
Míriel was, in reality, biding time. She was to be meeting someone here...someone, in fact, she did not want to meet. She hadn't seen her in such a long time, that now as she thought about seeing her, it made her feel anxious. Trying to focus her mind off of that, she knelt down and rubbed Nimfea's neck, his pearly soft white fur like silk. The smell of the dragon was getting stronger, and Míriel wondered how the Ents would go about the task.

OOC: I have no idea what I am doing *dances*
“Shenandoah.” Thranduil called. There was a rustle in the forest the branches of trees moved if his eyes had not opened and his mouth did not move you would have not known who was speaking.
“Lord Thranduil how good it is to see you again.” The ent called Shenandoah said slowly. Thranduil smiled.
“We need your friends’ help.” Thranduil told him. The ent looked at the dragon and nodded his head.
“Yes I see… I will wake the others.” Soon five more had joined. Thranduil smiled gratefully and explained what needed to happen. Erugenel sighed contently; it had been long since she had actually intermingled with the treehearders.

OOC: Shenandoah...I know that name. >.>
Míriel looked on as the Ents went about burning the dragon. It was a long process, starting small fires and containing them with water filled buckets and sand, or waving their leaves to fuel the fire when it got too low. About an hour later, there was nothing left but a heaping pile of ashes and a stench fouler than before.
Míriel wiggled her nose in distaste. At least the Ents had given their help, otherwise they would have never gotten it done. As they dispersed, Míriel made her way around the ashes.
"Shenandoah, sire." She called pleasantly. The Ent stopped short, looking about until he turned around. He bent closer, his long leaves flowing at the soft wind when he bent down. His round clear eyes took her in, and he gave a rapsed gasp.
"Lady Tarellethiel," He whispered, though his whisper was still loud enough for all to hear. He looked down at Nimfea, who tilted his head to the side curiously. "And Draugernil! It has been a long time since we have met."
Míriel smiled kindly. "Yes, it has. How are those in Fanghorn?"
"I wouldn't know," He said sadly. "I have not been to Fanghorn in over one hundred years."
Míriel's face went down sadly. "I'm sure...they must be fine." She said reassuringly.
"It is good to see you, Lady Tarellethiel. It has been a long while since I have seen a familiar face, and one so sweet and beautiful. I shall wish to see you soon." He said sincerely.
"You shall, Shenandoah," She said smiling coyly. "For I am staying in Mirkwood for a while too."
His eyes widened behind the bark. "Really? That is good news indeed! You have made my day very worthy, Lady."
"No galu govad gen." Míriel called. Shenandoah bowed his head in farewell. Míriel sighed contentedly. There wasn't much kindness to be found anymore, but when Míriel happened to chance upon it, she'd never forget it. Ever.

Translations: Tarellethiel-Elf Queen. Draugernil-Wolf Prince. No galu govad gen-May blessings go with you.

Erugenel stared curiously with another ent at the scene between the elf and ent master. “My Lady it was good to see you again.” The ent she was with said slowly. He smiled at her as she turned to look at him again.
“Aye you too. The ents of Fanghorn bid you all a fair hello. I guess they knew I would be coming this way.” She muttered her last sentence and Moonfair smiled again.
“I shall be sure to let my friends here know.” He told her and with a bow he left with the others.
It was good to put formality aside. They knew who she was, or most of them any way, she had not ever met Shenandoah before though. Moonfair however, they were very well acquainted. And she was not sorry for it.
“You must know Shenandoah well.” Erugenel said when she stood next to Miriel.
